No. 1 national seed Florida advanced to the College World Series with a 7–0 win over Florida State on Monday.

Despite a rain delay for the second straight night at McKethan Stadium in Gainesville, the Gators secured the final spot at the College World Series in Omaha, Neb. with the win.

Florida catcher JJ Schwarz highlighted the Gators’ scoring on Monday, as his grand slam in the fifth inning stretched his team’s lead from two to six.

After losing Game 1 of the best-of-three Super Regional series on Saturday night, the Gators shut out the Seminoles in 23 straight innings to stave off elimination and advance.

Florida will now face Coastal Carolina on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET in Omaha.
