Another baseball season brings another year of rivalry to the Red Sox and Yankee nations.

But why is it that two of the best and most legendary baseball teams have such a huge rivalry between them? Well, that’s a good question!

From my perspective, one of the most climatic moments between these two teams was when the extraordinary Babe Ruth was sold from the Red Sox to the Yankees. The Yankees excelled after Babe was on the team. But what team wouldn’t do well with one of the best baseball players of all time?

Currently, this battle has become more intense. Each year the fans of both teams wait for those special games where thousands of people gather in either stadium with electricity running through their body, hoping that their team will show the enemy who is boss.

The Red Sox and Yankees players have thoughts buzzing in and out of their minds, questioning the strength they have to win this game not only for themselves, but for all of those people who are out there in the seats supporting them.

Remember that time -- I think you know what I’m talking about – when Jason Varitek and Alex Rodriguez fought?! Poor Bronson Arroyo, by accident he hit A-Rod, and look what happened after that! Jason was just trying to protect his teammate when he and Rodriguez began what became a brawl between the two teams. Luckily for me, since I am a massive Red Sox fan, the Sox ended up winning that night.

And then there was Yankees coach Don Zimmer versus Sox ace Pedro Martinez during the playoffs of ’03. That was quite a heated argument with a similar story, except Pedro hit a Yankee. When the benches cleared for a brawl during that series, Zimmer charged Pedro and got thrown to the ground!

As all baseball fans of the Red Sox and Yankees can see, this rivalry will never end, but will just keep getting worse.

Well, that’s all for today guys! Remember watch the Red Sox-Yankees series this weekend. I wonder how everything will play out this time!
