10 Questions With... Carlos Boozer

Image placeholder title

Carlos Boozer dribbles and scores for the Chicago Bulls. Off the court, Boozer does the same for a cause close to his heart. An ambassador for Dribble to Stop Diabetes, the 6-foor-9 forward is raising awareness on diabetes, a condition that occurs when the body can't use glucose, a type of sugar, normally. Approximately 18.8 million are diagnosed with diabetes, while seven million remain undiagnosed. “The statistics are staggering.” Boozer says. “My grandmother passed from diabetes and my aunt has it. For me, this is something that hits close to home.”

Busy with NBA preseason and spreading the word about diabetes prevention, Boozer took some time to answer SI Kids 10 Questions. See how well he scores.
