Monday Afterschool Special: Not-So-Super Bowl
Congrats to the Broncos on winning Super Bowl 50! Denver's relentless defense gave Cam Newton more than he could handle, sacking the QB seven times and causing him to fumble twice. You can read more about the game here. All in all, it was a pretty boring game. But that's O.K. — a new Super Bowl means new funny commercials and videos from the game!
Another Star Wars NFL preview video
A couple weeks ago, I linked to a Star Wars-themed conference championship preview video from Austrian sports channel PULS4. Well, they ran another one in anticipation of last night's game. Turns out they were right all along: The Panthers, like the Empire, had a great regular season but lost in the end!
Derek Fisher fired
The Knicks have fired coach Derek Fisher. The former point guard went 40–96 in 136 games as New York's coach. The Knicks have lost nine of their last ten games. Assistant coach Kurt Rambis will take over as the interim head coach. Rambis has previous head coaching experience, most recently with the Minnesota Timberwolves from 2009–11. He was fired from that job after going 32–132.
Marshawn Lynch hangs up his cleats...literally
Beast Mode seems to have called it a career with this Tweet he sent during the Super Bowl. The running back ends his 10-season career with 9,112 yards rushing and 74 rushing touchdowns.

Even more than his love of Skittles, Lynch will be remembered for the greatest run in NFL history.
