Hank Aaron hit his then-record-breaking 715th home run on this day 42 years ago. Aaron would ultimately end his career with 755 home runs, a record that would stand until Barry Bonds (controversially) hit his 756th in 2007. Watch the historic dinger as called by legendary announcer Vin Scully:
