Monday Afterschool Special: Puppies!

After an exciting weekend of sports and snow storms, we've got plenty to show you from both.

Pucks for pups

When Ottawa Senators forward Bobby Ryan scored with 20 seconds left in the second period of last night's game against the Rangers, he did more than just give his team a 1–0 lead over the New York Rangers. One young Sens fan came to the Canadian Tire Centre with a sign that read “Bobby, Dad said if you score we get a puppy!” Well, good news: He's getting the dog, and naming it Bobby, of course!

To make a great night even better for this young fan, the Senators held on to win, 3–0.

Previewing Spurs/Warriors

Tonight at 10:30 ET, we get the most anticipated matchup of the NBA season, the San Antonio Spurs (38–6) at the Golden State Warriors (40–4). In addition to being the top two teams in the West, both squads still have a shot at the 1995-'96 Chicago Bulls' record 72 wins.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr returned to the bench Friday for his team's 122–110 win over the Pacers. He will now face his old pal Gregg Popovich and a serious test in his second game back.  The Spurs will be without Tim Duncan tonight (knee soreness), but that shouldn't stop them from putting up a fight. Check out these videos to get pumped for the game.

Minnie the Corgi takes over

For Saturday's game against the Pacers, the Sacramento Kings entrusted their social media accounts to a special guest: Minnie the Corgi! The cute pup "posted" on Vine, Twitter, Snapchat, and Instagram. Check out all of her good work here on the NBA website. And watch her use Twitter in this video:

Don't try this at home...

Be sure to watch until the end to see their funny run-in with the police.
