Meet the September SportsKids of the Month!
In each issue of Sports Illustrated Kids, we feature three kids who excel in sports, does well in school, and gives back to the community. These young athletes do it all — on and off the field! Meet September’s SportsKids of the Month!
Aidan Walter, 8
Center Valley, PA
Ice Hockey
Aidan scored 180 goals and had 49 assists in 52 games for the Mite Minor Valley Forge Minutemen during the 2015-16 season. The third-grader also led the Nazareth Blue Eagles in goals (11) and points (16).
Emma Lemley, 13
Forest, VA
Softball
In June, Emma had 27 strikeouts and allowed one run, lifting the Williamsburg Starz Gold to the Virginia ASA 14U state championship. She is currently 14-0 with 121 strikeouts (0.99 ERA) in 85 innings.
Hayden Riddick, 14
Corapeake, NC
Baseball
In 2015, Hayden batted .400 and drove in 27 runs for the Central Middle School Vikings. He was named the Vikings' offensive MVP after leading the team in slugging percentage (1.100), on-base percentage (.581), and runs scored (21).
