2014 SportsKid of the Year Finalist Ezra Frech Makes Acting Debut!
When Sports Illustrated Kids named Ezra Frech a SportsKid of the Year finalist in 2014, we knew he was a talented and inspiring kind. But over the past year and a half, he has continued to impress.
When Ezra was born, he only had one finger on his left hand and was completely missing his left knee and shinbone. But with the help of prosthetic legs, Ezra can not only walk — he’s a record-setting track-and-field athlete. In the seven months after being named a SportsKid finalist, he set seven records at the Desert Challenge Games and the Angel City Games. He’s a motivational speaker who has talked to more than 16,000 kids. And now, he’s showing off his acting chops!
Ezra makes his TV debut Monday, July 25, when he guest stars on the Disney XD show Kirby Buckets. In the episode titled “Torched,” Ezra plays Sprint Phillips, a star athlete selected to carry the Olympic torch through the town of Forest Hills.
The show airs at 8 p.m. EDT, but you can get a first look now. Is there anything Ezra can’t do?!
