March Madness Goes to a Galaxy Far, Far Away!

March Madness has officially begun! The bracket is set and people across the country are making their predictions. Can Chewbacca roar to victory? Will Darth Vader Force choke the competition? Is Admiral Ackbar a trap opponent? Does Yoda have what it takes to repeat?

Wait, did you think I was talking about the NCAA men's basketball tournament?

Sure, that's happening, too. Last night, the bracket was unveiled and Florida, Virginia, Wichita State, and Arizona are the number one seeds in the four regions. But there's another tournament starting today in a galaxy far, far away: This is Madness: The Star Wars Character Tournament returns for a second year to crown the ultimate power in the universe.

Last year, Yoda upset Darth Vader (judge the master Jedi by his size, we should not) in the inaugural tournament. He talked with ESPN's Max Kellerman about his win and his prediction for this year's tourney:



The 2014 This is Madness competition begins with 32 characters broken up into eight divisions in two categories: You have Rebels, Jedi, Scoundrels, and Republic on the Light Side and Empire & Separatists, Bounty Hunters, Sith, and Underworld on the Dark Side. But in order to triumph, the characters need your vote. Beginning today, fans can fill out their brackets and show their support for their favorite Star Wars heroes and villains.
