Legendary Yankees Come Together in “Henry & Me”

Can you imagine what it would be like for the greatest Yankees of all time to magically appear and encourage you when you needed them the most? That’s exactly what happens in the new animated film Henry & Me, which debuts on DVD and digital download today.

The movie tells the story of a sick young boy named Jack,a big-time Yankees fan who travels through time to meet legendary players like Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, and Thurman Munson. Jack’s guide on this journey is a man named Henry, who magically transports Jack from his hospital bed to a farm where the Babe is barnstorming, old Yankee Stadium, and the team’s current home in the Brox.

With an amazing cast of characters, great writing, and dramatic soundtrack, Henry & Me is a must watch for any fan of baseball. But it also carries two important messages: Legends never die, and when life throws you a curveball you should swing away, just as Jack does in the movie.

Henry & Me is available now, and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of DVDs and digital downloads will be donated to more than 30 charities.

Last month, I attended the red carpet premiere of Henry & Me in New York. I spoke with spoke with some of the people who brought the Yankees legends to life, as well as current Yankees manager Joe Girardi, former players Willie Randolph and John Franco, and many others.
