Pittsburgh Penguins Debut Latest Stadium Series Jersey

Another day, another Stadium Series jersey reveal. This time it's the Pittsburgh Penguins, who meet the Blackhawks at Soldier Field in Chicago for an outdoor game on March 1. This afternoon, the Pens gave fans their first look at the special jerseys they'll be wearing for the game.

It's not a radically different look. The skating Penguin crest is there, only chromified like the other Stadium Series primary team logos, and it has the the same basic color scheme as the team's road sweaters. But also like the other Stadium Series clubs, the numbers on the back are a bit elongated, and the striping on the sleeve is angled, which will look straight when a player is lined up for a faceoff.

Here's Penguins forward Chris Kunitz modeling the jersey, as well as a short video clip giving us a closer look at the uniform:

For those of you keeping track at home, the Pens' jersey is the fourth Stadium Series sweater that has been revealed. It follows the New York Islanders, Anaheim Ducks, and Los Angeles Kings. The ones we're still waiting for are the Blackhawks, New York Rangers, and New Jersey Devils. With the NHL's outdoor games beginning on January 1, we should get a peek at those jerseys pretty soon.
