Ales Hemsky Scores the Goal of the Season

Last night, the Ottawa Senators' chance at a postseason berth got a little dimmer thanks to a 5-4 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. But there was a really bright silver lining to the night: Sens forward Ales Hemsky scored what might be the goal of the season.

Near the end of the second period, Hemsky took a pass from Milan Michaelk in the neutral zone then put some serious moves on not one, not two, but three Lightning players before completely owning Tampa Bay goalie RadkoGudas. In the words of legendary hockey broadcaster Mike Lange, Gudas doesn't know whether to cry or wind his watch.

Check out the video of the sick goal below. It's a thing of beauty. But the best part might be the collective "OOOH!" that fills the Canadian Tire Centre as fans experience Hemsky's artistry.
