Can the Pack go Back-to-Back?

No matter who you’re a fan of, there’s no doubting that last year the Green Bay Packers had a superior season, topped of with the Lombardi trophy. They had a rough start, but a late-season surge brought them into the playoffs. Then they won six straight games to win the title. But can they come out on top again? Here are some reasons why the Packers could be back-to-back Super Bowl Champions.

Green Bay had a few serious injuries last season. One was Ryan Grant, the starting running back, who suffered a serious ankle injury. Also nursing injuries was tight end Jermicheal Finely, who underwent knee surgery that ended his season. If the Packers can do so well with key players missing, other teams should cower at the thought of the Packers being healthy.

Another reason: quite simply, Aaron Rodgers. He excelled last season with 3,922 passing yards and a 65.7% completion rate. And he’s only become more mature and more experienced. If Rodgers can perform as well as he has in years past, the Green and Gold will have a good chance of a repeat.

The Cheeseheads have great depth on offense. Rodgers will have a variety of targets. Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, and James Jones are all great options at the receiving end. For the running game, James Starks should have another great season and the Pack should also get back Grant.

They also have an excellent secondary. Tramon Williams, Charles Woodson, and Sam Shields shut down opponents passing game. They also have Nick Collins, a great safety who made had a interception return for a touchdown in Super Bowl XLV.

So, do the Packers have a good shot at a repeat? I think so. Tell me what you think in the comments section.
