New York Knicks Unveil New Uniforms For the 2012-13 Season

Meet the new Knicks, same as the old Knicks. Whether they're alienating their hopelessly loyal fanbase with incessant losing, botching a free agent signing like they did with Jeremy Lin or redesigning their new uniforms--which the team unveiled today--as much as things change with the team that plays at Madison Square Garden, they tend to stay the same.

You'd be forgiven if you take a look at the New York Knicks' updated unis and couldn't quite put your finger on what's different from past versions. Much like their roster, this isn't a whole re-imagining, it's more like a slight reshuffle. Here's the basic rundown: The black piping around the numbers is now gone; the stripes down the side of the jersey and shorts have been 86'd as well; there's less arch to the team's nameplate on the front of the jersey; the stripes around the armholes no longer encircle the whole opening; and a thick waistband has been added to both the home (blue) and away (orange) shorts.

Overall, if you take a look at Amar'e and Tyson below, I think you'll agree that they look pretty dapper. Like we said, this isn't a monumental change, but do you really expect monumental change from the New York Knicks? If so, you must not know the Knicks.
