Packers Throwback Jerseys Wind the Clock Wayyy Back on Sunday

The Green Bay Packers have one of the most iconic uniforms in sports: The green-and-yellow color combo, the helmet with the G, the wide numbers. But in its game against the Cleveland Browns yesterday, Green Bay hit the field wearing jerseys the team and its fans hadn't seen in 84 years.

The Packers wore throwback jerseys originally used by the team in 1929. The green was replaced by blue, the iconic helmet became a cheddar cheese bowl without a logo, and those wide numbers stretching from shoulder to shoulder were dots on the center of players' chests. The jerseys looked a bit like the New York Jets' throwbacks, with a bit of the University of Michigan mixed in.
