Gillette Stadium Gets Bricked



We’re used to seeing baseball parks in LEGO form, but football stadiums? Not so much. But LEGOLAND Discovery Center Boston has decided to show some brick love to Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots.

To celebrate the start of the 2014 NFL season, the Discovery Center unveiled a 19-square-foot model of Gillette Stadium yesterday as part of its MINILAND exhibit. The model was made from more than 33,000 LEGO brick and took more than 380 hours to build. All that time went into making it look as true-to-life as possible. So you’ll see the Lighthouse, a fairly accurate scoreboard, concourses, bathrooms, and a locker room. There’s also seating for more than 500 mini figures.
