Meet the 2014 World Cup Host Cities

The draw for the 2014 FIFA World Cup groups is Friday, which means the biggest soccer event in the world is getting closer! The World Cup runs June 12-July 13, 2014, and 32 national teams will compete for the world championship:  Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cameroon, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Ecuador, England, France, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Honduras, Italy, Iran, Ivory Coast, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Portugal, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, United States, and Uruguay.

When they finally take the pitch, matches will be played in 12 host cities around Brazil, from the opening game in Sao Paulo to the championship round in Rio de Janeiro. And to get fans ready, FIFA has released some pretty great posters for each of the host cities. While you wait for the World Cup draw, check out a grid of the 12 posters, as well as a short video produced by FIFA TV introducing you to each of the host cities.
