SI Kids world cup 2014 guide

For the next month, all eyes will be on Brazil for the 2014 World Cup. The biggest sporting event in the world features 32 national soccer/football/futbol/futebol teams loaded with the best players in the game all competing for the gold World Cup trophy — and massive bragging rights.

The tournament begins June 12 with Brazil and Croatia (the US team plays its first game June 16 against rival Ghana), and Sports Illustrated Kids has everything you need to know to be ready. And be sure to come back to this guide throughout the World Cup. We'll be adding new stories, interviews, slideshows, and videos from the first kickoff until the last "Olé, Olé, Olé!"
