MLB's Day of Walk-Offs

There were 15 Major League Baseball games played yesterday, and four of them were decided by walk-offs. That's kind of crazy. There were a couple walk-off home runs, a walk-off single, and even a walk-off bunt (which is the best kind of walk-off, let's be honest).

In case you missed any of them, here's your video roundup.

Toronto Blue Jays 3, Tampa Bay Rays 2

Let's start with that bunt. It came in Toronto. And, OK, it's technically a throwing-error walk-off. The Jays and Rays were tied at 2, Toronto's Kevin Pillar is on first, and Anthony Gose drops a bunt to move Pillar to second. But Tampa pitcher Juan Carlos Oviedo muffs the throw and, well, watch:

Philadelphia Phillies 6, Colorado Rockies 3

Walk-off number two happened in Philadelphia. The Phillies and Rockies were tied going into the bottom of the 9th. Philly put two on for Ryan Howard, who stepped into the box with two outs. And on the 2-2 pitch, he crushed the ball into left-center to earn the pie to the face.

Chicago White Sox 3, Cleveland Indians 2

Next, let's hit Chicago where the White Sox were looking to sweep the Indians. It was a tight game, but in the bottom of the 9th, with the score 2-2, Leury Garcia got on base and made his way to third base. All Moises Sierra needed to do was lay down a single to bring out the brooms. Will a flare to right do the trick? Sure will.

Oakland A's 3, Detroit Tigers 1

The final walk-off came in Oakland in one of the season's great pitching duels. A's starter Scott Kazmir held the Tigers to one run in a complete-game performance, and heading into the bottom of the 9th the equally brilliant Tigers starter Anibal Sanchez looked to earn the complete-game shutout. But he only got through a third of the inning after giving up a double to Coco Crisp. Joe Nathan came in to finish the game, but allowed a John Jaso single that moved Crisp to third and put two men on for Josh Donaldson. And on the first pitch he saw, Donaldson sealed the win for Kazmir.
