Andrew McCutchen Torches Phillies for Inside-the-Park Home Run

It's the top of the 5th last night and the Pirates are down 3-2 to the Phillies. Star centerfielder and reigning National League MVP Andrew McCutchen steps up to the plate. On the first pitch he sees blasts a shot to deep center, and with a lucky bounce (and some bad positioning from the Philadelphia outfield), Cutch turned on the jets and extended a sure-fire triple into his first career inside-the-park homerun. And it's probably the best inside-the-park homer you'll ever see.

"I put the pedal to the metal and got there," McCutchen said after the game.

His home run tied the game, catcher Russell Martin hit a solo shot a couple batters later, and the Pirates were up 4-3 at the end of the inning. They would go on to win, 6-3, keeping them on pace for the second NL Wild Card spot.
