July is Sports Illustrated Kids’ annual Summer Camp issue. And this year, your counselor at Camp Wannawin is none other than 2016 NBA Rookie of the Year Karl-Anthony Towns. He’s hanging out tent side on the cover of the magazine, and inside he offers tips on how to post up a defender, deal with bad calls, and make the perfect S’more. Needless to say, we got to know Karl-Anthony pretty well.

But while spending time with him at the photo shoot, we had to find out how he spent his summers as a kid. Did he go to camp? What were his favorite activities? And what does he do in the summers now, as a rising basketball superstar? Check out the video above for the answers — and then pick up a copy of the July issue of SI Kids!
