In each issue of Sports Illustrated Kids, we feature three kids who excel in sports, does well in school, and gives back to the community. These young athletes do it all — on and off the field! Meet this month’s SportsKids of the Month!
Keaton Moffitt, 7
Keaton, a third baseman, had two unassisted triple plays in a Brentwood league (8Y division) game in April. Keaton's defense helped the Cardinals upset the undefeated Blue Jays.
Mackenzie Skelton, 12
Mackenzie led the Red Lion Christian Academy middle school girls soccer team in goals (11) and assists (four) in her first season as a starter. In the last game of the year, the left wing scored her second hat trick.
Brian Brennan, 14
In March, Brian won all 10 of his individual events at the Middle Atlantic Junior Olympics, earning the high point award (200 total points). He set meet records in the 50-meter freestyle (21.30) and 100-meter butterfly (51.52).
