The 14th Annual MLS All-Star Game will be held later today, and, to mark the occasion, Adidas is outfitting three of the game’s biggest stars in customized boots.
Now, I don’t know about you guys, but, I just learned boot=soccer cleat about three days ago. And barring a closeup, it’s almost impossible for me to catch a glimpse of “boots” during a soccer match. The camera’s too far away, the player’s move around like little pinballs... who can follow footwear at a time like that!
That’s why I decided to make things easy for you and show off the kicks now. Stuart Holden (of the Houston Dynamos) will be wearing one-of-a-kind boots called miadiPure2 (see image, right). Fredy Montero’s (Seattle Sounders) speedy style will be reflected in his miF501’s, and Conor Casey (Colorado Rapids) will be wearing the miPredator PowerServe. You can see each style below.
Now here’s the cool thing. Let’s say you like the look of these cleats, but maybe not the color. Well, you can pick them up in a silhouette that suits you better! Simply hit up miadidas.com, customize a boot (or any other sneaker on the site) to your heart’s content, and they’ll be sent to your doorstep, no muss, no fuss. Goaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!
Visit www.miadidas.com to pick up a pair of customized boots, or to design your own.
Oh, and while we’re on the subject of customization… check this out.
