Tonight the NBA season opened with two old foes, the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics battling down in South Beach. But before we could get this 2012-13 campaign started and the Heat could get their title defense underway, there was the matter of handing out some hardware.
Team owner Micky Arison handed out the rings to his players, who saw them for the first time tonight. Covered in 219 diamonds, on one side of the 14K white-and yellow-gold ring is the player's name and the phrase all in, while the other side has two NBA trophies, representing the two titles the franchise has won.
To cap the festivities, the Heat came out and played a solid game, defeating their rival 120-107.
