During his news conference on Wednesday, new Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III told reporters that he’ll be playing with a chip on his shoulder.
“I’m not trying to let any baggage hold me down from the past,” Griffin said, “but I do have a massive chip on my shoulder.”
Griffin was released by the Redskins last month. During his tenure in Washington, he sustained several injuries, was benched multiple times and engaged in a public feud with former coach Mike Shanahan.
He signed with the Browns weeks after his release.
