Suspended Browns receiver Josh Gordon met with commissioner Roger Goodell on Wednesday to discuss his potential reinstatement, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reports.
Gordon, 25, is eligible to apply for a return to the league on August 1. Gordon has not played a game since December 2014, and failed another drug test in March that led the NFL to deny his application for reinstatement and delay his timetable for a possible return.
Rapoport also reported that no decision is imminent for Gordon, who has been suspended three times by the NFL for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
Gordon played just five games in 2014 before his season was cut short due to suspension. He caught 87 passes for 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns during his breakout 2013 season.
