Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns and New York Knicks power forward Kristaps Porzingis were unanimously selected to the 2015-16 NBA All-Rookie First Team, the league announced Wednesday.
Both Towns and Porzingis received all 130 First-Team votes from the panel of sports writers and broadcasters.
Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets and Jahlil Okafor of the Philadelphia 76ers join Towns and Porzingis on the First Team.
Justise Winslow, D’Angelo Russell, Emmanuel Mudiay, Myles Turner and Willie Cauley-Stein were selected to the NBA All-Rookie Second team.
Towns was selected with the No. 1 overall pick by the Timberwolves in the 2015 NBA draft. He averaged 18.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game this season. He was unanimously voted the NBA Rookie of the Year on Monday.
Porzingis finished his rookie season with an average of 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.
