Hall of Famer Magic Johnson thinks that the Los Angeles Lakers should target Kevin Durant and LeBron James in free agency, he said in a series of tweets.
Durant will be the most-highly sought after free agent this off–season. The 27-year-old has been named All-NBA first team five times over his career and was the 2014 NBA MVP. He averaged 28.2 points and 8.2 rebounds this regular season.
There has been speculation about where he could land, but he has so far given no indication about a preferred destination, or if he even wants to leave Oklahoma city.
The hope that the Lakers can somehow entice James to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers is more of a reach, with Johnson admitting that he does not believe James will leave Cleveland. James isn't scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent until 2017.
James signed a two-year, $46.9 million contract with his hometown Cavaliers during the summer of 2015.
