Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper hit a grand slam in Tuesday’s win over the Miami Marlins.
Before Harper’s grand slam, Jayson Werth hit a homer to give Washington its first run of the game, the 200th home run of his career. Wilson Ramos immediately followed up with a home run to left center field.
Harper’s homer came in the seventh inning off of Chris Narveson, and gave Washington a 6–0 lead. The home run marked Harper’s seventh of the season and his second grand slam in six games.
The Nationals continued to score, as Ryan Zimmerman hit a home run right after Harper, giving Washington a 7–0 lead it wouldn’t relinquish.
The series of home runs marked the first time in Nationals history that the team has hit four home runs in an inning.
