A thunderstorm rolled through the New York City-area on Monday, with the rains causing a good bit of damage while the shower broke up several says of high temperatures in the region.
In the midst of the weather a bolt of lightning found its way to the Empire State Building, resulting in some amazing video as well as a tongue in cheek plea of innocence from Noah Syndergard, aka “Thor.”
Syndergaard, of course, is not actually the Norse god of thunder and lightning, but is actually just a regular human who is very good at throwing baseballs.
The exceptional video of the iconic skyscraper being struck during the storm was captured by Henrik Moltke of The Intercept.
