Scout releases post-spring rankings of top 300 recruits for 2017

Scout released its updated player recruiting rankings for the class of 2017 on Tuesday, with five-star running back Najee Harris remaining atop the list after the conclusion of the spring evaluation period. Nos. 2–5 stayed the same as well, with athlete Dylan Moses, athlete DeAngelo Gibbs, athlete Devon Hunter and offensive tackle Foster Sarell, respectively, maintaining their spots.

Scout’s new rankings include 28 five-stars, led by Harris, the top-ranked running back in the country and an Alabama commit (though Harris has taken recent visits to Ohio State, UCLA, USC and Washington). The top quarterback on the list is former Texas A&M and Washington commit Tate Martell (No. 14 overall), the top wide receiver is Joseph Lewis (No. 11) and the top defensive player is cornerback Darnay Holmes (No. 8).

Ohio State leads all teams with seven commitments from players in the top 100. Alabama is next with four, and Oklahoma, Georgia, Clemson, LSU, Texas and Iowa all have two.
