The UConn women’s basketball team presented President Obama with a gift on Tuesday during its trip to the White House.
The Huskies, who were honored by the president for defeating Syracuse 82–51 to win their fourth straight and 11th overall national title last month, gave Obama a wooden rocking chair. The chair featured an engraving that honored UConn’s six national championships during the president’s tenure in office.
UConn’s seniors Breanna Stewart, Moriah Jefferson and Morgan Tuck, who became the first class in women’s college basketball history to win four national titles, were selected with the top three picks in the 2016 WNBA draft.
UConn has lost only five games in the last four seasons, and only one in the last three.
