Last July, Madison won gold in the 100-meter backstroke and silver in the 200-meter event at the North Carolina Long Course Championships for the 11- to 12-year-old age group. As a member of the North Mecklenburg Aqua Devils, she holds nine team records and has won 13 state medals.
A star goalie, Casey allowed only five goals in 19 games during the 2011 season. She helped her school team win the city and county soccer championships three years in a row. On the basketball court, Casey averaged a double-double last season for her county championship team.
Gabriel struck out 67 batters in 40 innings last season to help his team win the local Pony League championship. He won eight games in 2011 and gave up the fewest walks in the league. Gabriel has led his teams to five consecutive league championships across multiple age groups.
Kaleb is right at home in the end zone. After making the switch from tight end to running back, the football star enjoyed a breakout season with his Medford White Panthers Pop Warner team, scoring two or more touchdowns in 10 games. “The position switch was a little hard, but I get to touch the ball more and help my team in more ways,” Kaleb says. The sixth-grader shined in last year’s Oregon Pop Warner State Championship, scoring four touchdowns with 297 rushing yards.
