For Brooke age is just a number. Even though the 12-year-old is the youngest member of her high school golf team, she is already a two-time individual state champion (Division II, classes 3A and below). Last year Brooke became the youngest golfer in Louisiana history to win the championship while helping Episcopal High School take home the first-place team trophy. “I’ve been playing since I was seven, so it’s great to see my hard work pay off,” she says.
Malcolm is a 2010 California State Games and USATF Pacific Association sub-bantam division champion in the 100- and 200-meter dashes. He also leaped his way to a ninth-place national ranking in the long jump (9-to-10-year-old age group). On the soccer field, Malcolm scored 15 goals last year.
This winter, Cooper won the national speedskating championships at the 400- and 600-meter distances in long track and the 222- and 333-meter distances in short track (10-and-under division). In 2008 he was named the Northwest Regional Inline Skater of the Year.
Erica is the only girl on the Pembroke Peewee A youth squad. She helped her team to a 50–0 record this season. As a right wing for the Assabet Valley Red Major girls’ select team, Erica scored the gold-medal-winning goal in the USA Hockey girls’ under-12 championship.
