Things have been pretty low key during the summer as far as tours and stuff, but we've been making sure we keep in touch with each other. Since all of us are around each other for so long, we kind of develop a brotherhood, so even when we're at home, we keep in contact as if we were on the road.
For the 4th of July, I spent time with my family, and we cooked out, laughed and just had a great time. It's always fun to have cookouts with loved ones and enjoy the summer. Summertime not only gives us a chance to spend time with our families and friends, but it also gives us all a chance to really develop new ball handling skills and other aspects to our games to make us better Globetrotters. I'm pretty sure all the guys are like me, in the gym every day working on new things and polishing up and perfecting our signature moves.
I’ve recently moved to Indiana, and I’ve been trying to play a lot more golf now since I got here; you can only go to the gym or workout so much throughout the day…lol. I like playing and just enjoying the outdoors and the quietness of the game. It's definitely not as easy it looks, but as with anything, practice makes perfect. My goal is to be able to shoot in the 80s by the end of the summer.
Four of my teammates and I will be heading off to China Thursday to do some PR work with the NBA. I've never been to China, so I'm really looking forward to going and sharing the experience with some of the guys.
Until next time…
