Continuing the University of Maryland Terrapins' attempt to become the East coast version of the Oregon Ducks, Under Armour and the team unveiled new basketball uniforms. This "Black Ops" edition of the men's b-ball jerseys, shorts and shoes. They'll wear these uniforms against Duke this weekend.
Under Armour's founder, Kevin Plank, went to Maryland, just like Nike's founder Phil Knight attended Oregon. So we get endless changes to football and basketball uniforms for the two schools.
But that's not always a bad thing. And, actually, in this case it's a great thing. We think it's a really cool design. The yellow, black and red look great together. Under Armour found a subtle way to integrate the yellow and black from the state flag in the piping around the arms and legs, then in the shoelaces as well.
