1 Last Week: 1	San Antonio Spurs The Spurs have quietly raced off to one of the best starts in NBA history. A healthy Manu Ginobili is a huge reason for their success.
2 Last Week: 2	Boston Celtics With veterans such as Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Kevin Garnett, the Celtics have no shortage of players who can make clutch plays.
3 Last Week: 6	Los Angeles Lakers With so much talk about the Lakers' struggles this season, it's easy to overlook the fact that L.A. still has the third-best record in the NBA.
4 Last Week: 3	Miami Heat Miami has had to deal with injuries to key players, with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh both missing time. Wade should return this week, but Bosh's situation is uncertain.
5 Last Week: 5	Chicago Bulls Derrick Rose has been the NBA's MVP of the first half of the season for leading the Bulls to the top of the Central Division despite injuries to Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah.
6 Last Week: 13	New Orleans Hornets The hottest team in the NBA has won 10 straight games. Credit their defense, which allows opponents just 91.2 points per game.
7 Last Week: 7	Orlando Magic The Magic¹s recent trades have opened space in the lineup for young big man Ryan Anderson. He has taken advantage of the playing time, reaching double digits in scoring in 13 of his past 14 games.
8 Last Week: 9	Oklahoma City Thunder The Thunder had a close call in a one-point win over lowly Minnesota on Wednesday. Kevin Durant led the way with 47 points.
9 Last Week: 4	Dallas Mavericks With superstar Dirk Nowitzki out with a sprained right knee, the Mavs struggled the past few weeks. Look for the team to get back on track with Dirk now back in the lineup.
10 Last Week: 8	Atlanta Hawks Atlanta has been going about its business quietly. The Hawks are one of the East¹s best teams, but they¹re not considered title-contenders.
11 Last Week: 12	Denver Nuggets As the trade rumors continue to swirl, Carmelo Anthony has turned up his scoring. He has scored at least 35 points in two of his past three games.
12 Last Week: 10	Utah Jazz Utah has lost six games in a row. Even Deron Williams¹ 39 points couldn¹t steer the team to a win over the Spurs on Wednesday.
13 Last Week: 14	Portland Trail Blazers LaMarcus Aldridge is having an All-Star-worthy season. The 25-year-old is averaging a career high 21.8 points per game in his fifth NBA season.
14 Last Week: 11	New York Knicks The Knicks stopped a six game slide with a home win over the Wizards on Tuesday. The win was crucial because they have another tough slate of games coming up: Miami, Atlanta, and Dallas.
15 Last Week: 16	Memphis Grizzlies Zach Randolph is on pace to average at least 20 points and 10 rebounds for the third straight season and fifth time in his career.
16 Last Week: 15	Houston Rockets He¹s not as dominant as Yao Ming, but big man Luis Scola is quietly having a stellar season (19.0 points, 8.3 rebounds per game).
17 Last Week: 17	Phoenix Suns With 105.8 points per game, the Suns have a high-powered offense, as usual. But without Amar¹e Stoudemire to be an inside threat, Phoenix has not been able to seal close games.
18 Last Week: 20	Philadelphia 76ers Elton Brand isn¹t putting up big numbers (14.9 ppg), but just having an inside threat like him has helped put the Sixers in good position to make the playoffs.
19 Last Week: 18	Golden State Warriors Monta Ellis is averaging more than 25 points a game for the second straight season. Before a three-game slide this week, Golden State was inching closer to .500.
20 Last Week: 23	Los Angeles Clippers Blake Griffin and Eric Gordon are a strong duo, but Baron Davis needs to step up his game in the second half of the season.
21 Last Week: 24	Charlotte Bobcats The Bobcats need better play from Gerald Wallace. His 15.9 points per game is his lowest scoring average in five seasons.
22 Last Week: 21	Milwaukee Bucks The Bucks can¹t put the ball in the bucket. They rank last in the NBA with 91.2 points per game.
23 Last Week: 19	Indiana Pacers After an excellent start to the season, center Roy Hibbert has been slumping. Indiana needs its big man to step up in order for the team to make a push for a playoff spot.
24 Last Week: 25	Detroit Pistons With very little scoring in the paint, the Pistons aren¹t going anywhere this season. They need to acquire a skilled big man.
25 Last Week: 26	New Jersey Nets Things are looking up for the Nets after a 4-1 homestand. Their players should loosen up now that the team is no longer pursuing Carmelo Anthony.
26 Last Week: 29	Washington Wizards The Wizards still stink on the road (0-21), but they've had some impressive wins at home over Boston and Utah. Nick Young has been a bright spot.
27 Last Week: 22	Toronto Raptors A nine-game losing streak has the Raptors in the Atlantic Division cellar. Toronto needs to get Andrea Bargnani some help. Fast.
28 Last Week: 28	Minnesota Timberwolves The young T-Wolves are making progress. They lost two close games to the Thunder and Rockets this week.
29 Last Week: 29	Sacramento Kings After a slow start to the season Tyreke Evans is starting to play better. But the Kings have still lost five of six games.
30 Last Week: 30	Cleveland Cavaliers Eighteen straight losses for the Cavs. Ouch. The second half of the season will be all about trying to develop young players such as J.J. Hickson and Ramon Sessions.
