Little League World Series Baseball 2010 is perfect for players who are not looking for a serious baseball game. The game is cartoonish, with features such as your players catching fire and performing better after you build your meter. The game often drifts between reality and fantasy. It is realistic because you have to do things such as switching-up pitches you throw and shifting your fielders. It is unrealistic because the players look like cartoons and you can enhance a their ability to perform in the middle of the game.
I found that the hitting in the game was very realistic because how hard you hit the ball depended on timing and what pitches the pitcher throws. However, the way that some pitches break is unrealistic. I didn’t like that you don’t have much control over what happens in certain situations. When a ball is fielded, you cannot move toward the ball to field it — you can only throw it when it reaches you. You also can’t control where you throw your pitches. If you are not looking to play a serious baseball game, then this game is for you.
