The change was made to draw attention to a documentary T-Mac released called 3 Points, which chronicled his efforts to raise funds for schools in Darfur...

Annnnnd... since the Darfur Dream Team is still recruiting athletes and celebrities to support the cause in Darfur, it makes sense that T-Mac would stick with his new number, no?
