NBA Power Rankings: Week 11

The top spot in these power rankings was up for grabs on Thursday night when the Cavs played the Lakers. LeBron James and the Cavs won and held on to their Number 1 ranking. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that was the highlight of their season. Check out where the other teams rank, then click below to let everyone know what you think!

1 Last Week: 1	Cleveland Cavaliers Guard Mo Williams will miss at least a month with a sprained left shoulder, making LeBron James’s supporting cast much weaker. That didn’t stop the Cavs from beating the Lakers on Thursday though.
2 Last Week: 2	Los Angeles Lakers On Thursday, Kobe Bryant became the youngest player in NBA history to score 25,000 career points. LA has been playing well, but the loss to Cleveland keeps them in the second spot.
3 Last Week: 4	Dallas Mavericks A nice week for Dallas, which included wins over Boston and Oklahoma City. With Kevin Garnett out with an injured knee, Dirk Nowitzki took advantage, scoring 37 points in a Mavs road win in Boston on Monday.
4 Last Week: 7	Denver Nuggets With five straight wins, the Nuggets are really soaring. Credit point guard Chauncey Billups, who runs the offense with confidence. He is averaging a career-high 18.8 points per game.
5 Last Week: 3	Boston Celtics The Celtics have lost four of five games. Kevin Garnett’s right knee has been acting up, so the team is being careful to make sure he’ll be ok for the postseason.
6 Last Week: 5	Atlanta Hawks Jamal Crawford's game is perfectly suited to coming off the bench. He's is an energetic player who can put up a lot of points in a hurry. Crawford had at least 20 points in three games last week, all Hawks wins.
7 Last Week: 6	Orlando Magic It's hasn't been a great month for the Magic. Orlando is 4-7 in January, including losing three of four games last week.
8 Last Week: 8	San Antonio Spurs The Spurs have dropped three of four. Tim Duncan was held to less than 15 points in two of those losses.
9 Last Week: 10	Portland Trail Blazers Big man LaMarcus Aldridge is starting to get into a groove. He has had at least 13 rebounds in three of his past five games.
10 Last Week: 9	Phoenix Suns The Suns only win in their past five games was against the lowly Nets. Center Robin Lopez took Channing Frye’s spot in the starting lineup and responded by averaging 19.5 points over his first two games.
11 Last Week: 12	Oklahoma City Thunder Can a player who averaged 25.3 points per game last season be considered for the 2009-10 Most Improved Player award? Yes. Kevin Durant (29.2 ppg) was very good in 2008-09, but he has taken his game to the superstar level this season.
12 Last Week: 13	Utah Jazz The Jazz swept the season series from the Spurs for the first time in 16 seasons. Could that give them the confidence to start playing consistently strong basketball?
13 Last Week: 11	Houston Rockets Rick Adelman is the frontrunner for NBA Coach of the Year for the job he's done leading this group of role players to be in playoff contention.
14 Last Week: 14	New Orleans Hornets How tough is the Southwest Division? The Grizzlies and Hornets are sitting at the bottom of the division with 22-19 records. That would put them in fifth place in the entire Eastern Conference!
15 Last Week: 17	Charlotte Bobcats The Bobcats have won six in a row. Forward Gerald Wallace (18.6 points, 11.3 rebounds, 1.7 steals) should make his first All-Star team.
16 Last Week: 18	Memphis Grizzlies The Grizzlies have been making scorekeepers work. They are fourth in the NBA with 104.4 points per game. Their young core of Rudy Gay, O.J. Mayo, and Marc Gasol has been impressive, as has veteran Zach Randolph.
17 Last Week: 15	Miami Heat The Heat has won three of five games, but one of those losses was a 39-point beatdown by the Charlotte Bobcats.
18 Last Week: 16	Toronto Raptors A career-high 44 points from star forward Chris Bosh couldn’t get the Raptors a win against the Bucks on Wednesday. Bosh needs more help from forward Hedo Turkoglu, who has topped 14 points only once in his past 16 games.
19 Last Week: 19	Los Angeles Clippers The Clips welcomed back center Chris Kaman, who missed four games with a back injury (LA lost all four games). Kaman has been one of the NBA’s biggest surprises this season, averaging 20.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
20 Last Week: 20	Chicago Bulls Scoring continues to be a problem for the Bulls, who are fourth-worst in the NBA with 96.6 points per game.
21 Last Week: 23	Milwaukee Bucks Keep an eye on swingman Carlos Delfino. He had two 20+ point games last week as a starter in place of injured guard Michael Redd.
22 Last Week: 21	New York Knicks Mired in mediocrity, the Knicks will get some national spotlight when Nate Robinson defends his slam-dunk title during All-Star Weekend.
23 Last Week: 25	Detroit Pistons The injury problems continue, but the Pistons have managed to win three of four games. Detroit fans have to be pleased with the play of young guard Rodney Stuckey, who has had at least 20 points in each of his past three games.
24 Last Week: 26	Washington Wizards Point guard Randy Foye has stepped up in Gilbert Arenas’s absence. He has started the past eight games and has had at least 18 points in seven of them.
25 Last Week: 24	Sacramento Kings The good vibes from the Kings’ hot start to the season have faded. Sacramento had lost five straight through Thursday, despite continued strong play from Tyreke Evans.
26 Last Week: 22	Indiana Pacers Star forward Danny Granger is still not a full strength after missing most of December with a foot injury. He shot just 2 for 16 in a loss to Miami on Monday.
27 Last Week: 27	Philadelphia 76ers Allen Iverson is in the twilight of his career, but he is still one of the NBA’s most popular players. Despite averaging a career-low 14.8 points per game and playing for a woeful 76ers squad, AI was voted an All-Star starter.
28 Last Week: 28	Golden State Warriors Golden State doesn’t get many wins, but its players sure do put up great stats. Since January 1, only LeBron James and Kevin Durant have had better scoring averages than the Warriors’ Monta Ellis (30.7 ppg) and Corey Maggette (29.2 ppg).
29 Last Week: 29	Minnesota Timberwolves Hey, give it up for the T-Wolves: They beat the Sixers in overtime on Monday for their ninth win of the season. Point guard Jonny Flynn (29 points, 9 assists) had a breakout game.
30 Last Week: 30	New Jersey Nets The Nets are still on pace to set the NBA record for most losses in a season. With talented players like Brook Lopez and Devin Harris, their nightmarish season just doesn’t make much sense.
