This is waaaay off. Giants have bad linebackers and only one good defensive back. They have sub-par wide receivers, and an aging, injury-prone offensive line. And the Eagles? Please. Top-5 best teams in the NFC this year will be
1. Saints
2. Vikings
3. Cowboys
4. Atlanta (wild card)
5. (tie) 49ers, Redskins (wild card)
AthleteArtist replied on August 10, 2010 at 11:58am.
Packers are not even the best team in their division, even if the Vikings don't have Favre. They have a very unproven offensive line, which gave up a league-leading amount of sacks last year. The only improvement that they made from last season to this one is that they drafted Brian Bulaga, who will probably win the right tackle job. A big concern for me is that the Packers have some aging wide receivers. Greg Jennings and Donald Driver are both on their way out of the NFL. Aaron Rogers is a good QB, but his best target is a second-year tight end (can't remember his name). This is not usually a good thing.
I'm a cowboys fan. and they could be the first team to go to a super bowl in there own stadium.Tony Romo will have a great year with miles Austin, Jason Witten and new receiver Dez Bryant the cowboys will win the NFC east. eagles with out Donavan McNabb they will not make the playoffs Kevin Kolb isn't ready. Giants r still not so great after losing Plaxico Burruss they finished third last year and they will again. The redskins will finish second with the three headed monster in Willie Parker,Larry Johnson, and Clinton portis. new line man Trent Williams will help and new coach mike Shannan
AthleteArtist replied on August 9, 2010 at 6:00pm.
Oh, yeah, and they'll have to do it without a legit left tackle, and without any proven defensive backs other than Terrance Newman. Good luck with that.

Watching the NFC east is always fun. It's been Giants, Eagles, and Cowboys always battling for the division. And now the Redskins are getting into the mix. And my bold statement for the season: C.J Spiller will be the next Chris Johnson. Well, not like big 2,000 yard seasons or anything, but he will get around 1,000 yards and will battle Fred Jackson for the No. 1 running back position next year.
My East Predictions:
AFC East
Patriots: 11-5
Jets: 9-7
Dolphins: 8-8
Bills: 4-11
The Patriots have downfalled and their era may be over, but they will still easily win the division. The Jets came in the playoffs last season on a fluke and are really gonna have to fight to get it this year. However, I think they will get a wild card spot. With Ronnie Brown struggling, the Dolphins will really have to depend on Ricky Williams this season. They will not make the playoffs. And, like usual, the Bills will be left in the dust. But once they get a decent quarterback they could do some damage. It just won't be this season.
NFC East
Cowboys: 11-5
Eagles: 9-7
Giants: 8-8
Redskins: 8-8
Like mentioned before, the NFC East is my favorite division in all of football. It's a great battle for the division title. This year, however, the Cowboys will seperate themselves from the crowd. Tony Romo is improving, not getting worse, I see a lot of talent in Dez Bryant, and without Donovan Mcnabb, the Eagles won't be that big of a threat. They will win the division. The Eagles won't be hopeless without McNabb but Kevin corn on the Kolb won't be so bad. They won't win the division, but they'll be in the fight for a wild card spot. The Giants have been kinda going downhill since their Super Bowl. They didn't get much better over the offseason, they haven't gotten a good running back, and Eli Manning really hasn't improved for a couple of years. They will be a contender in the Wild Card Chase but in the end will not make it. I have high hopes for the 'Skins this season with McNabb. In a year or two they will be playoff contenders, but they won't make it this year.
This was a great podcast! I can't wait to see the other ones. Oh and reply to this to tell me what you thought of my predictions.
SuperstarShortstop14 replied on August 9, 2010 at 12:25pm.
Due to the fact that the Pats have no competition in the east means they'll run to the top, but closely behind will stand the jets and dolphins. LT may be a factor to getting a wild card spot, but he needs to have a better year than last year. Jared Odrick is an excellent pick for the Dolphins that will strengthen their defense and be in the wild card talk as well because you have the fastest defensive tackle in all of college football. I always watched Odrick on PSU's top defensive line and would always expect something big from him. Finally, Buffalo......... oh yeah they have CJ Spiller who should turn into a Brian Westbrook in the future making big plays by himself and being the star of the team. He'll get the yards on the ground and on the screen plays.Watch out for Aaron Maybin the DE. Can get to the QB quick if he gets a good read on the ball. I expect about 8.5 sacks this year from him. Anyways here are my AFC East predictions.
AFC East
Patriots 10-6
Jets 9-7
Miami 9-7
Bills 5-11
Now in the other conference there is a bigger difference and that difference is excitment and rivalry. Philly has Kolb making me not to pleased he said to turn out like Drew Brees, but throwing 395 yards vs. KC Chiefs doesn't mean anything. The defense is lead by Quintin Mikell,Asante Samuel,Trent Cole, and rookie Brandon Graham. The eagles have the best D-line including the 325lb Mike Patterson in the middle. The offensive side has Celek,Jackson,Weaver, and McCoy who should have a big year. Riley Cooper may have a shjot for offensive rookie of the year depending on where Reid puts him. Cowboys and Giants are the same except for the giants line with Osi and Tuck looking to improve compared to the end of the season last year. Redskins as every knows has Mcnabb my favorite QB wishing the eagles still had him has brought an arm, speed, leadership, and his smile that you can't get off his face. That's something Washington needs after all these years happiness. Here are my NFC East predictions.
NFC East
Eagles 11-5

Excuse me, but when did Tom Brady become Peyton Manning? Brady doesn't make the players around him better the way Manning does, and won't start this year. And the Pats are nowhere close to being able to win the division. Their O-line is in trouble, they have no running game and a bad defense. The Jets are exactly the opposite, and have a good passing game to boot. They will easily win the AFC East. The Dolphins did NOT retain their rush linebackers, they lost Joey Porter, who was really their only good defensive player in recent years. The Bills do have something to look forward to; Jake Locker with the No. 1 pick of the 2011 draft. Cowboys will likely tear it up in the regular season much like previous years, but the safeties in Dallas, as well as the left tackle question marks, will keep the Cowboys from advancing past the second round of the playoffs. Austin is also grossly over-rated. The Giants are slow defensively and won't have the big rebound in their running game they're looking for. Eagles will be worse by far, Kolb has thrown one pick every 12 passes on his career. Stats don't lie. Washington is going to have a very good defense and the passing game will be much improved. And how come when the Patriots rotate "three good, part-time players, it's as good as having one superstar", but it isn't when the Redskins do it with BETTER part-time players? Galloway is not number 2. He has like three bad knees, and that's saying something. McNabb has pleanty of weapons to work with, he has had far less to work with in Philly and has gotten deep into the playoffs.
AceBoy1679 (not verified) replied on September 2, 2010 at 10:00pm.
Just because Doug Free isn't the best doesn't mean the 'Boys won't go far. Their defense is definitely best in the division, one of the top in the league. Austin is anything but over-rated. He is under rated. He can put up big #s. When Dez comes in the game, watch out! He was the best receiver in the 2010 draft and will catch as good as Miles. Also, Felix Jones will become a much better player. The Jets are the most overrated team in the NFL. Mark Sanchez won't do much better than last season.
AthleteArtist replied on August 9, 2010 at 12:10pm.
@ SuperstarEagle- But did he win his games? Nope. He went 1-1, and threw way too many picks. And it's hard to be accurate when you have to scramble for your life all the time, like McNabb had to do a fair ammount of time behind that very over-rated O-line.
@ Zinger- Sorry for the unclear comment, I was referring to the lineups McNabb had in the early 2000's, when they had no running game AT ALL and his two best receivers were Freddie Mitchell and Greg Lewis. In Washington he has a great deep threat in Santana Moss, a good young #2 in Devin Thomas, who averaged 12 yards a catch and one TD every 9 catches last year. Add in an all-pro tight end Chris Cooley and an emerging star in Fred Davis, and they're loaded.
YellowZinger31 replied on August 9, 2010 at 9:05am.
Yes, but, remember, Tom Brady has great wideouts to make great plays. Unlike Mark Sanchez. Mark has to force things. There not as great as throwing as the pats are. Also, since when does McNabb have more weapons to work with than last year?
SuperstarEagle replied on August 8, 2010 at 10:40pm.
Did you look up those stats yourself? Cause if you did then you would have noticed that Kevin Kolb was also the only QB in NFL history to throw for over 300 yards in his first two starts.McNabb had plenty of support in Philadelphia. If you had watched any Eagles games last season then you would have noticed that McNabb threw short passes either too hard or right into the ground, and overthrew deep passes by 5 yards or more. The Redskins have much less talent for him to work with.
