With an explosive offense led by versatile QB Braxton Miller (2,039 passing yards, 1,271 rushing yards, 28 total TDs) and powerful running back Carlos Hyde (16 TDs), the Buckeyes are a shoo-in to win the Big Ten. But in order to win the national title, linebacker Ryan Shazier (115 total tackles) and cornerback Bradley Roby (NCAA-leading 17 pass breakups) must find a way to improve the Buckeyes defense. Ohio State finished sixth in the Big Ten in scoring defense (22.8 points per game) last season. The high-octane offense and an easy schedule make it possible for the Buckeyes to go undefeated in the regular season again, but the performance of the defense will be the key to winning a BCS national championship.
