It was a showdown between two franchises with starcrossed postseason histories, and someone was going to suffer in the end. After defenseman Kevin Bieksa, who'd scored only six goals during the regular season, tallied a Gordie Howe Hat Trick (goal, assist and fight) in a Game 2 rout of the Sharks, it seemed only a matter of time until Vancouver punched its ticket to the its first Stanley Cup Final since 1994. That moment came three games later with a double-OT game-winner by (you guessed it) Kevin Bieksa, who took advantage of a crazy carom off the glass and sent a low wobbling shot past Sharks goalie Antti Niemi, who was confused about the whereabouts of the puck until it was too late.
