Netherlands goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg preserved the win with two saves in the 67th minute. Stekelenburg jumped in the air to deflect a shot from Miroslav Stoch over the crossbar. After a corner kick, Slovakia's Robert Vittek found himself with an open shot, but directed it right at Stekelenburg.
