There is an old saying that tells you to keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Bryant and Shaq were once a great example of this. From 1996 to 2004, as teammates on the L.A. Lakers, they went to the NBA finals four times, winning three consecutive championships. But their success was also tainted by feuds in the locker room and on the court. Even after O'Neal was traded to the Miami Heat in 2004, the rivalry continued, with each side making no secret of the satisfaction taken from winning a title without the other.
