The Rams beat the Browns 24-17, behind the league's best offense, in front of nearly 60,000 fans at the L.A. Coliseum. With the score tied at 17 late in the fourth quarter, Rams quarterback Norm Van Brocklin launched a 73-yard touchdown pass to Tom Fears, who blazed into the end zone and sealed the win. The championship was the Rams' first since 1945, and last in Los Angeles.
