John Wall’s All-Time Favorite Dunkers
There’s no denying one of the most exciting parts of NBA All-Star Weekend is the Slam Dunk Contest. Every year, fans across the country get to watch the league’s best dunkers perform jaw-dropping reverse jams, windmills, and tomahawk slams on the league’s biggest stage.
This year’s high-flying throw-down competition takes place tonight and will feature Washington Wizards point guard John Wall. While Wall is tight-lipped about what we can expect from his dunk performance this weekend, he did share his all-time favorite dunkers.
I mean, it’s MJ. He’s just great. His free throw line dunk in the Dunk Contest was amazing. Not many people can do that. It’s very difficult, and I think that’s what makes that dunk so special.
Every one of his dunks are incredible—360s, the alley oops, you name it, he’s done it. The dunk in the Olympics, that just didn’t make any sense! When he gets that high, he does things you’ve never seen before.
He is such a powerful dunker. He’s a player from back in the day, but I would watch YouTube clips and NBA classic games that showed players like him and Michael Jordan. Definitely a dunker I respect.
When Blake gets inside the free throw line you know something is about to go down. No need to jump up when he gets high because he’ll just posterize you.
He’s a small guy but very athletic. He has some great tricks and shows you size really doesn’t matter.
Tune in to the 2014 Slam Dunk Contest, airing on TNT Saturday at 8 p.m. ET, to see what John Wall has in store for this year's competition! And tell us who your favorite dunker is in the comments section below!
