CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- Andy Talley's friends warned him about undergoing heart tests a few days before traveling to the national championship game. They didn't want the Villanova coach to suffer complications before the big game.

After waiting 25 seasons for his first shot at a title, Talley didn't heed their warnings.

Sixers Snap Boston's Winning Streak

Days after snapping their own 12-game skid, the 76ers ended Boston's run at 11 wins, beating the first-place Celtics 98-97 on Friday night on Elton Brand 's tip-in with 7.7 seconds left.

Brodeur Sets Goalie Games Played Record

Mariners Trade for Talented but Troubled Bradley

The Mariners and Cubs reached agreement on a deal that would send outfielder Milton Bradley to Seattle in exchange for pitcher Carlos Silva and $6 million, has learned.

The money, which will be paid out over two years, is to offset the difference in salaries (Bradley is owed $21 million over the next two years and Silva is due $25 million over the same period) and to make up for Silva's poor performance.
