T-Mac, Jamison Among Big Trades

  • February 18, 2010, 8:28 PM

There were plenty of huge deals at the NBA trade deadline. Here's a recap of what happened...

The Cavaliers acquired Wizards forward Antawn Jamison in a six-player, three-team trade on Wednesday.

Washington will receive Cleveland center Zydrunas Ilgauskas, a first-round draft pick and the draft rights to Emil Preldzic. The Wizards also will get Brian Skinner and Al Thornton from the Los Angeles Clippers.

In addition to Jamison, the Cavs will get point guard Sebastian Telfair from L.A., while Wizards will send Drew Gooden to the Clippers.

The Knicks acquired Tracy McGrady in a three-way trade with the Rockets and Kings.

The Knicks also received guard Sergio Rodriguez.

The Rockets get Kevin Martin and forward Hilton Armstrong from Sacramento, and Jordan Hill, Jared Jeffries and draft considerations in 2011 and 2012 from New York.

The Kings acquired New York guard Larry Hughes and Houston forwards Carl Landry and Joey Dorsey.

The Mavericks acquired Caron Butler and Brendan Haywood from Washington on Saturday, a seven-player deal that strengthens Dallas for a playoff run and signals the breakup of a disappointing Wizards team.

Dallas also got guard DeShawn Stevenson and cash. The Mavericks dealt forwards Josh Howard and Drew Gooden, and two other players to the Wizards. Gooden was then traded to the Clippers in exchange for forward Al Thornton.

The Clippers traded veteran forward Marcus Camby to the Portland Trail Blazers for guard Steve Blake, forward Travis Outlaw and $1.5 million in cash.

The Celtics have acquired Nate Robinson and rookie Marcus Landry from New York in exchange for Eddie House, J.R. Giddens and Bill Walker, league sources told

The Bobcats have acquired Bulls forward Tyrus Thomas for Acie Law, Flip Murray and a first-round draft pick, sources told

The Bobcats have been seeking a power forward for the last several days as their frontcourt has been ravaged by injuries.

The Bucks acquired guard John Salmons from Chicago on Thursday and sent the expiring contracts of forwards Hakim Warrick and Joe Alexander to the Bulls, who are looking to make a move in free agency this offseason.

Salmons is scheduled to make $5.8 million next season if he doesn't opt out of his contract.

The Bucks also obtained the Bulls' second-round picks in 2011 and 2012, along with the option to switch first-round picks in the 2010 draft -- provided that Chicago's pick isn't in the top 10.

The Memphis Grizzlies have acquired Ronnie Brewer from the Utah Jazz for a protected first round pick, according to two league sources.

The Knicks traded Darko Milicic on Wednesday to the Timberwolves, perhaps the former No. 2 overall pick's final stop before he returns to Europe. The Timberwolves sent Brian Cardinal to New York and received cash considerations along with Milicic, who was unhappy with the Knicks and would have been waived had they not found a deal for him.

The Bucks have agreed to send Jodie Meeks and Francisco Elson to Philadelphia for Primoz Brezec and Royal Ivey, a high-ranking league source told

The Washington Wizards traded Dominic McGuire to Sacramento for a future second-round pick and cash considerations, an NBA source told

T-Mac is too injury pron, Jamison is overrated. Keep Ilgauskas, he is a nice guy and a good, strong shooter.

all celtics fans... do u think we need or want house? or do we really need or want nate robinson? tell me what u think please!

i think that house is pretty good but i think it is good that we get nate robinson. but we also lost some other people, too, so i dont know if this was much of an even trade or not, knowing that nate robinson is no lebron james. :D

yo nate is on the celtic he is going to be a good match with rondo

my heat need to get some trades in but the deadlin is over now

Definatly. Wade needs some high-powered backup, and Haslem and Beasly isn't enough. Theyre good, everyone else stinks.

the wizards just mad a horibale move, first of all jamison is on of there best player?and they trade him? also knicks just made a horible decison, becuz nat robison is a all star type player no ? bout it,but t mac is gettin a lil to old an he is as good anymore

I'm sooooo happy celts got nate robinson!!

Celts got Robinson-------YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!To bad we lose House though:(

who needs house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

can u believe that the Wizards traded Butler and jamerson. Im also suprised the nicks trade Nate Robison, but they get McGrady.

did you guys watch antwan jamisons first game 0 points!!!!!!

The Knicks might be good next season if they get LeBron!!!

I highly doubt that!

Rocket manager wanted to trade TRACY McGRADY!!!???Their there best player for the Rockets!

aside yao ming, but he is hurt so...

I don't understand what was going through the mind of Daryl Morey, General Manager of the Houston Rockets, when he made the deal of giving away one of the NBA's greatest stars, Tracy McGrady. Why would he want to trade him? My question about this is how this will affect the Knicks. Could this be the beginning of a new spectacular franchise?

The reason they traded T-mac, GoldTiger41, he was injury-prone.

Uh, dude, I know what you're thinking. Lebron is not, I repeat, NOT, going to sign with the Knicks. I have four good reasons that the Knicks will not be as good next season:
1. Lebron can't win anything by himself.
2. McGrady isn't going to do anything. He's played 105 games in the past three seasons. That's with 82 games in one season.
3. The Knicks traded half their players at the deadline, a la Nate Robinson!
4. This is the Knicks we're talking about here.

either the cavs or the knicks got the best trade but i dont get why the cavs gave up Big Z i thought he was at least OK

Big Z has been with the cavs for how long now?

Big Z is a thousand years old and can barly run down the cort

ithink wizards are going to be the worst team now.

they were the worst team bub

wow u just found that out. They're already the worst team in the league

Especially since Ilgauskas doesnt want to play with them.

can they get much worse?

come on what are the knicks doing keep nate robinson he is beast they barley even got good people from the celtics they were all bad

House is OK but I've never heard of the other two.

nate robinson is going to boston? AWESOME!!!!! :D
