8.) Thomas "T.J." Lanning

Ranking: 8 (USA), 99 (Overall)

The world's top-ranked junior in his age group for 2001, TJ Lanning has been plagued by injuries since then. He's shown flashes of living up to his potential, however: he followed an appearance at the 2007 Alpine World Championships in Sweden by winning the downhill championship title at the 2008 U.S. Championship.
